About this place
At Chūka Taishōken, you can choose between dipping noodles with a satisfyingly chewy bite and a bowl with a little heat. Diners who have tried the tsukemen say the thick, springy noodles made a lasting impression. A regular portion costs 1,000 yen; a large portion costs 180 yen extra, and an extra-large portion 250 yen extra. Spicy tsukemen is 1,100 yen, with an extra charge of 100 yen for more heat and another option for turning it up further. One diner enjoyed the spicy version in a medium portion, making it a good choice when you want a generous serving of noodles. For a change of flavour, tomato curry tsukemen is also on the menu.
To add a side, try the Anton gyoza, which share their name with the restaurant. The regular bite-sized serving comes with 8 pieces for 680 yen; the menu also offers a serving of 5 pieces made with plenty of vegetables from Nerima. Some diners have praised the crispness of the pan-fried gyoza. For something larger, there is also the quantity-limited “Anton Gyoza Kiwami”.
Lunch sets pair rice and soup with options such as gyoza, stir-fried meat and vegetables, or fried chicken. The Anton gyoza set costs 800 yen, while the stir-fried meat and vegetables set and fried chicken set are 980 yen each. A large serving of rice costs an extra 50 yen.
